Chapter 19

Both Rinda and Carly turned to see a sexy blonde sitting at the table behind them.  Carly gasped.  It was Willa Ford.  She recognized her from her magazine covers.  It was Nick’s ex-girlfriend.

“Hey Willa.”  Carly heard Rinda say. She knew her?

“Hey, Rinda.  Sorry to eavesdrop, but I couldn’t help overhearing your conversation about Nick Carter.  I just had to chime in.”  She grinned evilly.  Yeah, I bet, Willa.  Carly thought.  You just have to get noticed is more like it.

Willa turned around in her chair so she was facing the women.  “I know it’s none of my business, but are you dating Nick?” She looked at Carly, raising an eyebrow.

Carly hesitated.  She wanted to keep her private life with Nick just that, private.  She didn’t want photographers or rag mag journalists ascending on her doorstep with flashbulbs and microphones stuck in their faces.  No thanks.  Her privacy was way too important to her.  Nick was used to it, but she wasn’t and she had no desire to get used to it anytime soon.

“Uh, maybe.”  She was purposely vague.

Willa laughed.  “I don’t blame you for keeping it on the down low.  Well, enjoy it while you can.  Eventually you’ll be subjected to the cruel world of Hollywood.”

Does she not know what she’s saying? Carly thought.

“So, Willa, what were you saying about Nick’s butt?” Rinda was bold enough to inquire.  Carly shot her a I’m going to kill you look, but Rinda ignored her.  She purposely baited Willa to see what her reaction would be.

“Ah, what can I say? It’s hot.  Along with the rest of his body…”

“Yeah, well, I would appreciate it if you didn’t talk about my boyfriend’s body.  Nice to meet you, Willa.  We have to go.” Carly grabbed her purse and stood up.  Rinda smiled, followed her cue and did that same.

“Yeah, same here.  Maybe I’ll see you in the papers.”  She said offhandedly and Carly didn’t even dignity her remark with an answer, she just walked away with Rinda following.

Once outside, Carly hissed at Rinda.  “Why the hell did you ask her that?”

“I’m sorry, Car.  I wasn’t trying to be mean to you – I just wanted to see what her reaction would be.  I had heard good and bad things about her and I guess I just wanted to see her true colors that’s all.” Rinda shrugged.

“And what do you think her true colors are?” Carly asked, not sure she knew herself.

“Pretty much what I had heard.  She’s nice when it suits her, but pretty much a bitch the rest of the time.  I mean, I’m sure she has some good qualities since Nick dated her, but he did infinitely better when he found you.” Rinda smiled at her friend.

“Aw, thanks, Rin.  I appreciate that.”  Carly reached over and hugged Rinda.

“OK, enough of this gooey stuff.  There will be plenty of that for the wedding.  So, can you meet me in two days for the bridesmaid’s dress fitting?”

Carly nodded.  She knew her schedule already and she had that day off.

“Good.  I’ll call you.  Now go back to your man and give him a big kiss for me.” But as soon as Rinda said it, she realized her error.

“Oh, God, Car, I’m sorry.  I didn’t mean…” Rinda clapped her hand over her mouth in shock.  What an idiot she was!

But Carly just laughed.  “I know you didn’t, don’t worry about it.  All is forgiven, remember?”

Rinda smiled.  “I’m so grateful for that, too.  Well, I’ve got to scoot.  I’ll call you later.”

“OK.  God, I still can’t believe you’ll be married in two weeks!”

“I know! Tell me about it!” Rinda giggled and the girls parted ways.

***

It was mid March now and two days before Rinda and Derek’s wedding.  Tonight was Rinda’s bachelorette party and Derek’s bachelor party.  Carly was taking Rinda and her two sisters, Lauren and Sienna to Chippendale’s in downtown LA for dinner and dessert of the sexy male kind.  Nick was having a catered party at his Hollywood Hills home for Derek and his groomsmen.  Derek’s best friend, Gary was to be the Best Man and his two brothers and Connor completed the rest of bridal party.  Most of Derek’s friends lived back east in New York since that’s where he was from originally.  In fact, Gary had just flown in that morning from Manhattan.

“Oh my God, Car, this is going to be so much fun!” Rinda gushed to her friend in the back seat of the limo Carly had rented for the four girls.

“Yeah, totally!” Sienna said, lifting her champagne glass in salute to Carly.

“I know, I have to admit I can’t wait either,” Carly said excitedly.

“I can’t believe you’re even taking me to Chippendale’s! The Carly Benjamin I knew even a year ago wouldn’t have dreamed of it.  The good girl is gone and replaced by a sexy vixen! Nick really has corrupted you, hasn’t he? I mean, you’re even cussing and everything now!” Rinda giggled, finishing her first glass of champagne.

Carly sipped hers, wanting to make it last.  They had all night to drink after all and she knew how much of a lightweight she was.

“Yeah, well, what can I say? You date a Backstreet Boy and that’s what happens!” Carly roared, almost spilling her drink.

“Easy there, Car.”  Lauren was 25 and the practical one of the group.  Sienna and Rinda were five years apart in age, but they were more alike then their middle sister; wild and not to be tamed, independent women.  Lauren had had the same boyfriend since she was 21 and they planned to get married as soon as Tobin graduated from UCLA Medical School.  He was going to be a doctor and she had just graduated from law school.  So, they would be the prestigious doctor marries lawyer couple.  They already had a tentative wedding date for two years from now.

“Don’t worry, I plan to pace myself.” Carly laughed.

“Good girl.”  Lauren said.

“Laur, leave my friend alone.  Tonight, I want her to be wild and go crazy.  In fact, Carly, I want to see a wad of one dollar bills in your hand so you can stick them down the guys’ g-strings!” Rinda said, giggling.

“Ooh, I can’t wait for that! We are going to sit up front, right?” Sienna said, already flushed with her alcoholic intake.

“Yeah, after we eat.  I’ve already got us reserved seats.”  Carly said.

“Thanks so much, Car.  You truly are a good friend!” Rinda said and leaned over to hug her.

“OK, that’s enough for you! You’re way too emotional so you must be drunk!” Carly laughed.

“Yeah, sis, slow up on the drinking, K?” It was practical Lauren chiming in.

Rinda shot her a look of daggers and ignored her.  Not surprisingly, they sometimes didn’t see eye to eye on the way Rinda should lead her life.  One positive thing though was that all of Rinda’s sisters liked Derek.    Last week they had spent a couple of days together getting to know one other.  Derek even had the threesome along on a ride-along with him in his cop car, which fascinated the women.  They got to witness some real crime prevention in the making as Derek played the role of policeman to perfection.  It had made Rinda love him even more.

“Hey, guys, I’m glad you could all make it!” Nick greeted the three men.

“Man, Nick, this house is awesome! You must make a shit-load of money!” Derek commented, looking around at the lavish surroundings.

Nick laughed.  “Well, yeah, I can’t complain.”

“Hey Connor, good to see you again.”  Nick shook Carly’s brother’s hand and patted his back.  Ever since the video game session at Carly and Derek’s house two weeks ago, the two were becoming close.  They had already hung out a couple of times and had started to form a good friendship.

“Nick, Connor, this is my best friend, Gary.  Gar, this is Nick, Carly’s boyfriend and Carly’s brother, Connor.”  Derek made the introductions.  The four men shook hands and greeted one another.

“Nick, this house is fuckin’ awesome, dude!” Gary commented and Nick laughed.

“Hey, come on out back.  I’ve got some great food for you all.  Oh, and the beer is out there, too!” Nick said.

“Well, then, lead the way!” Connor said.

“Hey, guys, I hope you don’t mind, but my friends Chris and AJ are coming over.  In fact, they should be here any time.”  Nick looked at his watch.  Of course, no one minded.  The guys were too busy chowing down on the delicious spread and guzzling beers.  Sports talk ensued and the male bonding continued making for the beginnings of a great evening.

“Oh my God, Carly!” Rinda exclaimed.  She couldn’t believe her friend was actually stuffing dollar bills into the third guy’s g-string of the night.  This sex god’s bright red thong belonged to Racy Rob and she had to admit he was sizzling hot.  In fact, if it weren’t for Derek, she’d be over there flirting her ass off, attempting to make future plans for a night of passion with the man.  He obviously enjoyed the attention as he gave Carly her money’s worth by giving her a kiss and thrusting his penis at her.  Carly screamed with glee and then suddenly turned away.

“Car, are you okay? You look green!” Lauren said.

“I think I’m going to be sick!” Carly said.  Her vow to take things slow had led to three strawberry daiquiris and way too many nachos.  Her stomach couldn’t take any more abuse.

“Come on, I’ll take you to the bathroom.”  Lauren said and grabbed her.  “We’ll be right back.”  Lauren yelled to Rinda and Sienna above the dim of the screaming women.

They had barely made it to the bathroom when Carly upchucked her dinner and drinks.

“Oh, God, I feel like shit.”  She said, grabbing a towel from the dispenser and wiping her mouth.  She looked in the mirror and grimaced.  She looked ridiculous with so much makeup on.  Why had she let Rinda convince her to apply more eyeshadow and lipstick?!

Lauren laughed.  “Well, you have to feel better after you just threw up your dinner!”

“Well, yeah, kind of I guess.  Lauren, this is not my scene.  What the hell was I thinking stuffing money down those guys’ g-strings and letting them kiss me!”

Lauren laughed again.  “Carly, it’s called alcohol and it makes a person do stupid things they wouldn’t normally do.”

“Yeah, no kidding.  I guess that’s why you don’t drink, huh?” Carly looked over at her.

“I do, but in moderation.  Believe me, I had my share of partying days but I just decided that it sucks to get sick so why put yourself through that!”

“You’re smart.”  Carly said.  Suddenly some giggly girls burst into the restroom gushing over the hot men and how turned on they were by them.  Carly gave Lauren a “let’s get out of here look” and the two women exited the restroom pronto.

“No fucking way, Nick!”  Derek said to him as the two beautiful women walked into the living room.

Dressed as nurses in short white uniforms and fish net stockings, one of them asked, “Is there a Derek Masterson here? We heard he’s in need of some serious TLC.”

Nick laughed and finished his fourth beer for the night.  He was having fun watching Derek get the strip tease of his lifetime.  Nurses Dickinson and Cocker were going to make sure all of his anatomy was functioning correctly.

It was two hours into the evening.  AJ and Chris had arrived and the six guys were having a blast.  Food, beer and women – what more could you ask for? And earlier they had caught the last quarter of the Clippers game so they were more than satisfied with their entertainment for the evening.

“Nick, they’re fucking hot, man.  Where did you find them?” AJ said to Nick, admiring the view of Derek getting all the attention from the hotties.  He couldn’t wait for when it was his turn.

“Chris found them.”  Nick said, smiling at the brunette who had already given him the eye once or twice.

“Yeah, my friend, Todd got married last month and used the same agency.  They’re really good, aren’t they?” Chris smiled.

“Hot man, really hot.”  Connor joined in.

Derek was getting the treatment of a lifetime and enjoying it, too, but it was obvious he wasn’t going to go any further than enjoying their near nudity and attention.   He had already decided he wasn’t going to fuck things up with Rinda.  He knew she wouldn’t tolerate cheating of any kind.  The women then took turns “serenading” the rest of the guys.  Their tape recorder was playing, “Sexy Back” and screams and applause could be heard from the horny men each time one of their comrades got the sexual once-over.

Once Carly and Lauren left the restroom, they decided to sit further back and just enjoy the show.  They had fun laughing at Rinda and Sienna flirting with the guys and enjoying every minute of their strip teases and flirtacious advances towards them.  A couple of times Carly was a little worried that Rinda may go too far, but she refrained from too much raunchiness which allied Carly’s fears and allowed her just to enjoy the eye candy.  She was having a good time, but she couldn’t help thinking about Nick and what was going on at his bachelor party.  She knew the guys were going over his house and she even knew Nick had hired a stripper which she okay with, but still, a little thought lurked in the back of her mind that maybe she had a reason to be jealous.  She knew that strippers not only accosted the guest of honor, but also usually went around and did their thing with all the guests, or at least the willing ones.  She knew with some alcohol in him, Nick would be willing and she didn’t want to think about another woman putting her hands on her man.

“So, what are you going to do when she sits on top of you and tries to kiss you?” Carly had asked Nick earlier tonight.

“Don’t worry, baby, I won’t let her kiss me.”  Nick had assured her.

“She’ll probably try to though.  I mean, how can she not when you’re so hot!” Nick had kissed her then which had led to a make out session and the rest of the conversation was left unfinished.

Carly missed Nick.  She wished he was with her right now, kissing her, his tongue swirling between her lips, his hands all over her body, making her come alive… Carly, stop it! Remember where you are! She told herself.  What other woman would be in strip club with gorgeous men, thinking about their boyfriend? But then again, what other women had Nick Carter for their boyfriend… Carly smiled, still feeling like the luckiest woman alive…
