“Oh, God, yes!” Kevin moaned. Shit, that felt good.
They arrived at their destination together, paralyzed in the throes of their orgasms, crying out in pleasure and falling back on the bed in pure exhaustion.
Kevin had called Amber soon after Corinne and Nick had left the hospital and she eagerly met him at his house for another romp in the hay so to speak.
“So, are you really leaving on Wednesday? Can’t I talk you into staying longer?” Kevin asked her a few minutes later after they caught their breath.
“Yeah, like you’ve got lots of time for me!” She laughed. True, Kevin thought, but he would make the time…
“Sorry, Romeo, gotta earn some money. This is almost the last of my vacation time for the year. I have a couple days left, but I better save those. It’s only May!” She joked.
“What do you do anyway?”
Amber laughed. It had been sex first, questions later for them, which suited her fine. She didn’t want to divulge too much of her private life to a man she probably wouldn’t see again.
“Uh, I’m an assistant manager at a small bookstore near Minneapolis.”
“That’s cool. Smaller than Borders then?”
“Yeah, but not too small. We carry Corinne’s book.”
Kevin laughed.
“Have you read it?”
“Yes, I have and thought it was quite good.”
“Yeah. OK, enough talk about her. In fact, enough talking period.” Amber rolled over on top of Kevin, sliding down to his half-flaccid member and said, “I’m going to have my mouth full.” Inhaling him in, Kevin laid back and willingly went along for the ride.
“Okay, but how do you know for sure that you aren’t a father?” Corinne was fishing for information from Nick. They were eating dinner, drinking beer and Corinne cleverly finagled the conversation so that she could ask Nick if he had ever gotten a girl pregnant. She was hoping for some way into the dreaded conversation about her daughter.
Nick laughed, eating the last bite of his sushi. “God, Corinne, why do you ask? I mean, I guess I don’t know 100%, but as far as I know, I haven’t fathered any kids.”
“Okay, okay. I was just wondering because I had heard that some men don’t even know that they are fathers because the women they slept with didn’t tell them for whatever reason.”
“So would you tell a man you slept with that you were pregnant if you were?”
“Yes, I would.” Corinne finished her meal, pushed her plate to the side and downed the last sip of her water.
“So have you?”
“Have I what?”
“Told a guy you were pregnant?”
Oh God. She hadn’t seen this coming. This was so not what she wanted out this conversation. She just wanted to get some info from Nick just in case it would help her ease him into her conversation later, but she wasn’t ready to talk to him about Tawny. Not tonight; not yet.
“Um, would you excuse me, Nick? I really have to go the bathroom.” She got up hurriedly and made a mad dash towards the restroom. Oh God, Oh, God. He probably knows, she panicked. Calm down, Corinne, he doesn’t know she told herself. Relaxing a little, she went to the restroom, checked her appearance and tried to think of an excuse to get out of answering Nick’s loaded question. Oh, a gift. A baby gift. She hadn’t gotten anything for Megan for the baby. She had given her a gift at her baby shower a month ago, but she really wanted to get her something else.
“Hey, do you mind if we walk through the mall? I really wanted to buy a baby gift for Megan.” Corinne said to Nick back at their table.
Nick agreed, paid the check and they made it out the door without Nick saying a word more about their last conversation Corinne breathed a sigh of relief.
Nick put his arm around her and she smiled. She loved when he did that; it made her feel safe and loved. Nick pulled her head towards him so he could kiss her cheek. Corinne giggled and they walked by the stores happy and content to be with one another.
“Oh my God!” Corinne suddenly exclaimed.
“What’s wrong?”
“You see that woman over there by Baskin and Robbin? That’s Sabrina Savage.”
“Sabrina Savage? That’s sounds like a porn star or a stripper or something!” Nick laughed.
Corinne giggled. “Well, it’s pretty appropriate because she and I…” she stopped.
Nick suddenly got interested. He stopped and confronted Corinne with a smile on his face.
“You and her what?” He demanded.
“She was my college roommate for a little while and one night we got really drunk and really horny and…”
“What? What?” Nick’s heart beat wildly with anticipation.
“Look at you! Wouldn’t you like to know?!” Corinne laughed.
“Yeah, actually I would!”
“Come here, I’ll tell you.” She motioned to a vacant table near the coffee area. They sat down and Corinne proceeded to tell Nick all the juicy details she knew he was dying to hear.
“Well, her boyfriend had left this porn movie in our room so we put it in the VCR and watched it. Debbie does Dallas… I’m sure you’ve heard or seen it!” Corinne laughed. Nick nodded, urging her to continue.
“We were drinking the beer he had left, too. It was pretty nasty, but we got used to it after awhile. So, anyway, about 20 minutes into this movie and two or three beers, we started looking at each other in a new light. Sabrina turns to me and said, ‘Corinne, I suddenly have this urge to kiss you,’ and I let her kiss me. The way she said it was so damn sexy and so were her soft lips pressed against mine.”
“Were there tongues involved?” Nick asked, hanging on every titillating word of her story.
Corinne smiled. “Yes…”
“Did you like it?”
“Nick, are you going to let me tell it or not? Yes, I liked it, okay? Alright, so after the kiss we were really turned on, so suddenly we found ourselves topless…”
“Did you take her top and bra off?” Nick asked.
“Nick, my God, baby. You are into this, aren’t you?” She laughed. “I don’t remember… this was like 12 years ago… wait, I think I unbuttoned her blouse and took off her top and then I pushed her down on the bed and started raping her right there…” Corinne burst out laughing.
“The look on your face was priceless! I’m just kidding.”
Nick had to calm himself down. He was already hard.
“Corinne, just tell me…” he hissed.
“Alright, I’ll be serious. I think I took her top and bra off and probably sucked on her tits a little. And yes, I liked it okay?” She looked at him and he smiled. She knew what he had been thinking. “And she really seemed to like that and wanted to do the same thing so she disrobed me, sucked on mine a little and then went full on down on me. I remember this dorm room was so small and I ended up flat on my back on top of some clothes on the floor. I didn’t care though because she was so good at what she was doing. My God, I swear the woman had experience because I think I came within a few seconds…” She paused, seeing Nick’s squirming in his chair. “Oh my God, Nicky, are you hard?”
“Shit yeah, what do you expect? You’re fucking telling me some woman went down on you…”
Corinne grinned. It was exciting for her, too, not only telling the story, but reliving it in her head. She hadn’t thought about Sabrina Savage or the incident for some time. And the affect on Nick was definitely a plus.
“What happened next?” Nick prodded.
“Oh, yeah. Um, then I went down on her. And before you ask… it was strange, different. I wasn’t sure at first if I liked it, but it was a turn-on having the power over her like that, I mean, she was moaning like crazy and coming before I knew it. It made me wet again.”
“Okay, that’s it. We’ve got to go somewhere NOW.” Nick said. “Oh, wait, I better walk behind you.” Corinne smiled, knowing what he meant.
“Where do you want to go?”
“I have an idea. Go into Nordstrom’s.” He said, walking behind her as she led the way into the store. “Down this way there are some dressing rooms.”
“What? You aren’t serious? There are probably people in there!” Corinne said.
“I don’t think so. AJ did it with a girl in here once— he told me that on weeknights it’s pretty dead, unless it’s around the holidays.”
“Oh, God, we’re going to listen to AJ!” Corinne said, sarcastically, but she followed Nick as he moved in front of her to lead the way into the dressing room area and to the very back stall. He was right; there was just one person in the very first dressing room who would not likely to hear them if they were quiet.
When they got into the room, Nick pulled his jeans and boxers off in one swift motion and then helped Corinne pull her dress over her head. He kissed her neck and unhooked her bra from behind and pulled her panties down and off. He sat on the built-in bench against the wall and pulled her to him. Corinne knew what he wanted and straddled him, impaling herself immediately onto his huge organ, trying not to cry out in pleasure at the feel of his girth inside her. He felt too damn good; he always did. As she rode him, their eyes locked until they glazed over with unbearable passion, their breathing coming in short gasps and emotions running rampant. “Oh, Nicky…” She whispered, her orgasm imminent. “I’m going to cum…” Nick whispered back, pulling her in for a kiss to muffle their cries as they both came together. Corinne collapsed onto Nick and they leaned back onto the mirrored wall for a few seconds to catch their breath and digest the magnitude of what just happened. They looked at one another and said together in a whisper, “That was the best it’s ever been!”
Giggling, they pulled on their clothes and didn’t think twice about exiting the room together until they passed a woman making her way to a room with an armful of clothes.
“Aren’t the clothes here fabulous?” Corinne couldn’t resist saying to the startled woman. Nick stifled a laugh and pushed her quickly out of the room and out of the store.
“Can I just say OH MY GOD?!” Corinne smiled at her lover.
“Yeah, that was awesome! Sometime I will have to hear the rest of that story!” Nick laughed. God, life with this woman was just getting better and better. He was sure there would be nothing that could spoil it. They ended up leaving without ever buying Megan's gift.
Corinne woke up Saturday morning with a start. Oh my God, she had had five whole days to tell Nick the truth about her daughter and she hadn’t! What the hell happened? She had to retrace her steps the last few days and she realized what had happened. She thought back to Monday night with Nick and smiled at how wonderful that night was. They ended up going back to Nick’s house for awhile, watching a movie and making out. Corinne insisted on leaving by 10 pm since she had to wake up earlier for work the next day. She drove home smiling. Tuesday was a busy day at work; her day practically flew out the window, it went by so fast. She didn’t get home until 6pm and then she was tired. She made dinner, listened to some music and was in bed by 9:30, which was unusual for her. On Wednesday, she went into work late so she could go with her parents to take Amber to the airport. Kevin actually showed up at the last minute to everyone’s surprise. He gave Amber a kiss and whispered something in her ear. Corinne remembered seeing Amber smile and she felt a familiar twinge of jealously. She wondered what he said to her. They all bid Amber farewell, promised to call and e-mail and Kevin and Corinne walked through the terminal together behind her parents.
“So, have you told Nick yet?” Kevin asked, softly.
Corinne shook her head.
“When then?”
“I don’t know. We’re so happy right now, I don’t want to spoil it.”
“Rinna…”
“I know, I know. I will tell him, don’t worry. It just has to be the right time.”
But the “right” time never seemed to present itself as Wednesday melted into Thursday and then into Friday. Nick and the “boys” were busy all week recording and Nick, like Corinne was tired at night so they didn’t even see each other. Corinne made up some excuse about not being able to get together on Friday night and then Nick asked her about Saturday. She hesitated. This is the time, Corinne, tell him, but the words never came and she said she was free after 3:00 the next day. They were going to go see a movie in Century City so Nick said he would pick her up at 3:30. Fine, see you then. Were her words. Never were the words, oh by the way, Nick, I have a daughter uttered and now that she was only hours away from meeting her only child, she was regretting that decision. She knew Nick was out with Chris for the day so he wasn’t available. Okay, I’ll just go meet her and then I can tell him how wonderful she is, she reasoned, convincing herself that was the best thing.
Corinne took special care in choosing her clothing today. It was, after all, a very special day. She was meeting her daughter for the first time, or at least the first “real” time. It was still so hard to believe. God, what would she look like? Like me or like Rob, she wondered. Dressed in a blue floral dress with spaghetti straps and a flowing skirt that brought out the blue in her eyes and floated above her knees to reveal her promise-of-a-tan legs. Strappy cream sandals adorned her feet, showing off her red-painted toenails. Corinne admired herself in the mirror. Her brunette locks flowed around her shoulders and she smiled her approval. She definitely didn’t look like a mom, she thought. Stupid, Corinne, some moms are hot… look at Pamela Anderson… but even still, she felt good and she was eager to make a good impression.
Corinne arrived at Fleur de Lis, a classy Italian restaurant in Claremont ten minutes early. She tapped her foot nervously as she waited in the lobby. Rob and Gigi arrived and she greeted them happily, thankful to be distracted from her nervousness.
“Hi! So nice to meet you!” Corinne smiled at Gigi. She was an attractive woman who looked to be in her late 20s with short, dark hair, beautiful brown doe-like eyes and a sweet smile. Gigi greeted Corinne warmly and Rob gave her a quick hug.
"So, Corinne, did you bring your boyfriend?"
"No, he couldn't come." She hated to lie; she had been doing that way too much lately. A seed of guilt rose up in her which she quickly squashed by the thought of the guest of honor arriving at any moment.
The threesome exchanged lively banter for a few minutes until in walked a beautiful girl of 15 with her parents behind her. Corinne just stared for a minute. She was lovely. Her name described her perfectly because crowning Tawny’s lovely oval face was a mass of reddish-blonde curls. She looked like her! Tawny’s green eyes danced as she studied Corinne.
“Hi, I’m Corinne.”
“I… I’m Tawny.” Her voice was timid, but sweet.
“It’s so nice to meet you. I have to be honest, I don’t know whether to hug you or shake your hand.” Corinne said, nervously. She never knew a 15-year-old could make her so nervous!
Tawny looked at her parents and they nodded. Her mom said, “It’s okay, Honey.”
Tawny threw her arms Corinne with abandon and she could tell emotion was choking the young girl. Corinne was overcome as well as she hugged her back.
“Hi, I’m Lois and this is my husband, Michael.” Tawny’s mother said as soon as they finished their embrace.
“Hello. So nice to meet you.” Corinne smiled at them and shook their hands. She had never met them. Her stay with Tawny had been brief at the hospital. It was too painful to endure much time with her and she wanted to relinquish her daughter to her adoptive parents as soon as possible without her presence. But of course, she had been reassured she was “in good hands”. And Corinne could see that Tawny had been. Sizing up the Emersons, she could see that Tawny was indeed raised by good parents.
While Rob and Amber exchanged greetings and a hug, Corinne heard a voice behind her say, “Hi, I’m Nick.” She spun around in shock to see her boyfriend, Nick Carter standing there, extending his hand to the Emersons, and ignoring his girlfriend. Corinne felt a distinct chill in the air and it had nothing to do with the weather.
