"Ohhh...
Don't pretend you're sorry
I know you’re not
You know you got the power to make me weak inside
Girl you leave me breathless
But it’s OK
Cause you are my survival
Now hear me say…
I can’t imagine life without your love
And even forever don’t seem long enough
‘Cause every time I breathe I take you in
And my heart beats again
Baby, I can’t help it
You keep me drowning in your love
And every time I try to rise above
I’m swept away by love
Baby I can’t help it
Keep me drowning in your love…”
“Maybe I’m a drifter
Maybe not
‘cause I have known the safety of flowing freely in your arms
I don’t need another lover
It’s not for me
‘cause only you can save me
Oh, can’t you see
I can’t imagine life without your love
And even forever don’t seem like long enough
(don’t seem like long enough, yeah)
Go on and pull me under
Cover me with dreams, yeah
Love me mouth to mouth now
You know I can’t resist
‘cause you’re the air I breathe…”
Olivia woke to the sound of a baby crying and wondered where she was for a moment. Then a man next to her rolled over and said, “Good morning, Mrs. Richardson. Do you want me to go get her or do you want to?” He yawned.
Olivia turned to look at her husband and smiled. Yes, he was her husband and they had child together. She still couldn’t believe they had been married for five months and Alexandra was already one month old. They named her after Alex since he was the one who stopped at Walgreen’s that day they met.
After Nick left that day in November, Kevin arrived at her house a few minutes later and she convinced him to get married the day. They went down to City Hall and did the deed. They had a glorious week together “honeymooning”. They drove to Santa Barbara and then up the California coast, staying in various hotels and visiting the beautiful beaches. Kevin knew of Olivia’s love of the beach so she enjoyed every second of their time there. The sex was hot as usual and the laughter was non-stop. Those were idyllic days for them.
But all too soon Kevin had to fly back to continue the tour with the guys. The two were in contact every day in one way or another. They missed each other terribly, but with the reward of being together as man and wife when Kevin got back, they got through it. By February 5th Kevin was back in Olivia’s arms again and they set up permanent residence at his house.
Alexandra made her appearance on March 1 – sooner than anyone had expected so Olivia was fairly confident that Kevin truly was the father. Her confidence increased when the baby had Kevin’s eyes and cheekbones. Olivia was the happiest she had ever been in her life now her little girl had arrived to make her and Kevin’s life complete. She loved them both with all her heart. Thoughts of Nick romantically had gone by the wayside and although she would always have fond feelings for him, never again would they be together romantically. She would never jeopardize what she had now with Kevin. He was both a wonderful husband and father.
Nick appeared to have moved on as well, since he had started dating a couple of woman soon after the tour ended. Olivia was happy for him. They were truly friends and got along very well; able to forget the past and move forward with the present.
A couple weeks after baby Alex was born, Kevin and Olivia discussed having a “real” wedding and Howie offered his house for the ceremony and reception. So, last Saturday, they had made it “official” in front of family and friends of about 100 people, media and all. Olivia was so thankful to have her figure back and to feel thin in her wedding dress. She felt like a princess and her heart swelled with love for the man standing beside her at the alter that day. It was all so perfect. Nick, AJ, Howie and Brian were in perfect form as always and they made Olivia and Kevin laugh throughout the ceremony and reception. And of course, the five of them sang at the reception. Their rendition of “Drowning” brought tears to Olivia’s eyes. Her favorite band, her best friends and her husband all wrapped up in one as The Backstreet Boys made her “complete”.
Olivia smiled and kissed Kevin. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll take this one.” As she got up, Kevin grabbed her butt.
“Nice ass! God, you’re hot!”
“Hold that thought. I’ll be back in a few minutes to finish this conversation.” She grinned and walked out of the room.
Yes, life was pretty damn near perfect. All because she went to buy a pair of sunglasses on a sunny day in June, 10 months ago…

I need you right now
I know deep within my heart
it doesn't matter if it's wrong or right..."
