Venting is a good thing...

So... I have to say that I'm surprised that more people haven't voted for which story they want me to write next.  Well, I guess that means it's up to me, lol.    I was also surprised that there was one vote for "Promise Me Forever".  It actually made me happy cuz I like that fic.  I'm glad there are some Kev fans out there.  I will get to that soon but I'm halfway done with Chapter 13 of "Beautiful Disguise" so that will come first.

Feel free to participate here, i.e. the forum or not.  I'm easy.

I'm so glad yesterday is over.  Tax Day was soo not fun for me.  We owe the IRS for the first time in years and we can't afford it.  Oh well.  Life goes on.  I'm trying to focus on the positive in my life and there are lots of positives.  I'm happy that I can write and post my stories here and people actual read them and seem to like them! Writing is such a wonderful outlet for me.  It's something I've loved doing all my life and even though I wish I could make a career out it, since I can't, this is the next best thing.

Well, it's almost 11:00 and I've gotta work tomorrow, so I'll sign off for now.

Who says you can't make a career out of writing? You gotta start small, like you were planning to do with sending a story to a magazine. Then who knows were it can go from there? I have a very good author friend who started writing seriously in her 40's and she's quite successful!!

Don't give up! Just keep doing what you love and who knows what could happen!!

Oh, I know if I put my mind out of it, I can at least try to make a career out of it. The problem is that I'm not sure I'm ready to dedicate all my time and energy to it. If and when I am ready, I definitely know where I can find the publications that may accept my work. The hard part is that I'm my own worst critic. Sometimes I think I'm good enough and other times, not. My stories are not up to the standards of a book but I think I might be able to get some of them published in a magazine. I've only tried once but maybe I'll try again later. Thanks for your support. How did you friend start get published anyway or did she?

Honestly, she just started sending them to magazines. She's an erotica/romance author and she started with poetry. She sent them to magazines, and then she started gaining fans all over the world and then she put her poetry in a book and was published. Now she has four published books and is working on several ebooks.

I hope that you get a change pursue it. You are a good writer!!
