Okay, so am I the only one who can't stand Nick's new short haircut?
I swear I want to throttle the man for practically shaving off all his gorgeous hair. In my opinion, he looks the hottest with medium length hair.
Sorry, just had to vent. I was looking at recent pics of him and was getting
irritated and wanted to share in case anyone else felt the same way.
Happy Holidays everyone!

So, instead of ordering it from Amazon like I was going to, I went over to Target yesterday and purchased the bonus CD there for $9.99. It was $17.99 on Amazon and the only difference was that "Helpless" was on that CD.
Anyway, I've listened to it a couple of times and I'm not sure what to think. There isn't really a song on the CD that I absolutely love but my two favorites are "Straight Through My Heart" and "Bigger" - the first two cuts. Those both are classic BSB tunes, the rest of the album is a little too commercial, over-produced and R&B for me. I mean, I don't hate any of the songs and most of them are okay or I like them, it's just that I'm a little disappointed I guess. I felt like they were trying to be so mainstream like JT or Timbaland, Florida and other R&B/HipHop/Rap groups which is cool for some of the songs but when most of them are like that, it gets old for me. I wish there were more songs like "Straight Through My Heart" and where the hell are their classic ballads? I mean, I'm an upbeat kind of girl but I like a BSB ballad thrown in there for good measure and there wasn't one! Ballads are what show off BSB's beautiful melodic voices.
I think I'm missing 2005's "Never Gone", the last CD with Kevin and the pop acoustic style but it looks like they won't be going back to that and for me it's a pity. I just feel like "This Is Us" doesn't have the wow factor like Millenium or Black & Blue had with songs like Larger Than Life, I Want It That Way, Everybody (Backstreet's Back), As Long As You Love Me, etc. I know artists and music evolve and that's what obviously has happened here but for me, it's just not the same.
Oh and the other thing -- two of my favorite songs, "Hallogram" (the Chris Brown cover) and "Out of My Head" are not on the US release. I'm hoping to order the imports to get those songs. It always seems the way that the songs I love do not make it on the CDs, or end up on the imports or the ones that do, they don't release as singles or sing at the shows. I don't get that. I should be their manager, ha ha.
Anyway, like I've said, I have only listened to the CD twice so once I listen to it more, I'll get a better feel for it. I still love these guys and will back them no matter what. Oh and I just have to mention that I absolutely love the CD cover and insert photos. Nick looks so hot but so do the other guys. They did a great job with the artwork, clothing, photography, etc.
I'm going to open a forum topic in case you guys want to share you opinion on the album.

So, I'm stuck home today since I'm broke. My hubby has to work all day and night which sucks. I've already watched some TV and the movie, "Bride Wars." I thought it was pretty good. Conflict like that tends to stress me out because I'm totally not that way but of course, it was a happy ending. I like Anne Hathaway.
So, I thought I'd get on Unfolding Souls and write a little and do a little editing of my stories. I'm so tired of June Gloom! I don't even know if it's 70 today and it's so cloudy. I'm tired of it - I want sunshine! I'm such a Cali girl as my friend Laura calls me, lol. I was born and raised in La Verne, a town 40 miles east of LA and I love my sunshine. I could never go back to living there since the smog is so bad but I would move back to San Diego where I lived for 5 years and got married, in a heartbeat. If I were single again and my kids were grown, I would seriously consider moving back there. Doug wouldn't want to so that's why I'd have to be single, lol. But that's okay. I like Oregon most of the time, it's just that the excessive rain and clouds get me down from time to time. But when we start getting into July and August, we get lots of sunshine and it's awesome.
So, I guess that's it. Hope you're all enjoying the stories, pics and videos.

So... I have to say that I'm surprised that more people haven't voted for which story they want me to write next. Well, I guess that means it's up to me, lol.
I was also surprised that there was one vote for "Promise Me Forever". It actually made me happy cuz I like that fic. I'm glad there are some Kev fans out there. I will get to that soon but I'm halfway done with Chapter 13 of "Beautiful Disguise" so that will come first.
Feel free to participate here, i.e. the forum or not. I'm easy.
I'm so glad yesterday is over. Tax Day was soo not fun for me. We owe the IRS for the first time in years and we can't afford it. Oh well. Life goes on. I'm trying to focus on the positive in my life and there are lots of positives. I'm happy that I can write and post my stories here and people actual read them and seem to like them! Writing is such a wonderful outlet for me. It's something I've loved doing all my life and even though I wish I could make a career out it, since I can't, this is the next best thing.
Well, it's almost 11:00 and I've gotta work tomorrow, so I'll sign off for now.

Hey there Unfolding Souls visitors!
I thought I'd trying blogging for a change. I do blog from time to time (I have a Live Journal/LJ account and a my space account) but I'm terrible at keeping up with it. Anyway, not much exciting going on with me at the moment. I won't bore you with the weather here in Oregon even though it was a gorgeous sunny day today - whoo hoo or how I started a diet again (I lost 5 pounds) but instead mention that I am still writing and still intend to post new stories here.
You all probably noticed that I change my template and banner again. I've had fun working in Photoshop to make better banners. I still have a lot to learn but I learn something new everything I get in there it seems. I can spend hours working on one banner and I have.
I'm excited to hear that BSB is back in the studio recording. I guess one of their songs will be called "Bigger". I can't wait to hear it, as well as the rest of the album. It sounds like we may hear some of it within a couple of months which is exciting. I hope I like it. I liked "Never Gone" better than "Unbreakable" so I hope I like this one even more.
Anyway, feel free to comment or whatever.
Thanks for visiting.
