Unfolding Souls Fiction

Fan & Romantic Fiction for the soul

Well, this is me, Cyn (Cindy).  I'm in my 40s and I live in Oregon with my hubby and two sons.  It should come as no surprise that I enjoy writing romantic fiction, especially fan fiction.  I have a love of the English language and have been in the administrative field for over 20 years.  I've also always wanted to be a writer and have been writing stories since I was a young girl dreaming about love and romance.  This site is a labor of love and I'm always looking for new ways to update and improve it.  Feel free to send me an e-mail at cynkaba1@aol.com with your constructive comments, suggestions, ideas, etc.  Happy dreaming, er, reading, lol!

First of all, I'd like to say thank you for being interested in my fics.  I hope you enjoy the reading material you've come across here so far and will continue to come back to read more.  Don't forget to let me know your thoughts on my stories, visuals, etc.  Send me an e-mail.  Thanks!

What got you into writing fan fiction? Well, I've only been writing fan fiction for over two years, but I've been writing novels/stories since I was 12 years old.  I've loved to write ever since I can remember.  My stories are always about romance and drama so I think it was natural for me to incorporate some of my favorite singers/actors into that scenario.  I think I just started reading others' fan fiction and decided that that was something I wanted to do as well.

Favorite part about writing fan fiction:   Are you kidding me? It's thrilling to live in your own little fantasy world! I can pick the names of the characters, what they are gonna to say, what they are gonna to do, wear, live, be, etc.  It's wonderful.  It's like I'm the director of my very own make believe play.  It's exhilarating, exciting and well, fun.  Plus, it doesn't hurt that you're thinking about your favorite hunk while you doing it, lol.

Least favorite part about writing:  The research I do to make my stories as realistic as possible, as well as a ton of editing, can be very time consuming.  I have spent many a night up past midnight just to finish a story after spending hours on it.  But it's all worth it to me.  And also, the fact that I have too many "irons" or stories in the fire that I want to finish and it can take me awhile to finish them.

Where do you get your ideas for your stories?:  I draw on my own experiences and have incorporated a few of those in my fics.  I also glean ideas from movies and TV shows and stories I've heard from friends and other people.  I try to make my fics as realistic as possible within the framework of dramatic fiction.

Your favorite fan fic you've written so far:  My number one favorite right now is "Fire In The Mix" but I also like "Beautiful Disguise", "The Scent of Love" and "The Sweet Divide."  I feel like I've matured as I've written over the past few months and I really like these characters.  However, all my stories come from my mind, so, of course I like them all.

Your least favorite fan fic you've written so far:  That's easy.  It's "Deep Within My Heart", formerly called, "Larger Than Life".  That was the first fic I wrote and I have to admit that it's pretty amateurish.  I cringe when I read it even now, lol.  It was fun to write (I wrote a lot of it while I was vacationing with my family at the beach) but I'm happy to say that my writing has matured since I wrote it.

Have you ever met the Backstreet Boys? Nope, not yet.  I went to one of their concerts which was incredible but I'm sad to say I've never met them.  I doubt I ever will but at least I can live vicariously through my writing.
